MUSICAL AMERICA honors DAVID KATZ for his work with The American Prize

David Katz
David Katz, CBASO founder and music director, and founder and chief judge of The American Prize national nonprofit competitions in the performing arts, has been selected as one of Musical America's "Professionals of the Year—a Key Influencer" for 2016.

"The Musical America 'Professionals of the Year' are the performing arts industry's best-known and most prestigious innovators and market shakers. For over 100 years, Musical America Worldwide has been the voice of the performing arts industry."

Other Chicago-area artists also recognized were Mei-Ann Chen, music director, Chicago Sinfonietta and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and Cheryl Mendelson, CEO, Harris Theater for Music and Dance, Chicago.
